1. Appearance: There are many surface treatments for aluminium alloy profiles, such as anodic oxidation, chemical polishing, fluorocarbon spraying, electrophoretic painting, etc. It has beautiful appearance and can adapt to various strong corrosive environments. Steel is generally hot-dip galvanizing, surface spraying, paint coating and other ways. The appearance is worse than that of aluminium alloy profiles. It is also inferior to aluminium profile in anti-corrosion.
2. Deflection deformation: The deflection deformation of the photovoltaic support structure is related to the shape and size of the profile, elastic modulus (an intrinsic parameter of the material), but not directly related to the strength of the material. Under the same conditions, the deformation of aluminium alloy profile is 2.9 times that of steel, and its weight is 35% of that of steel. In terms of cost, aluminium profile is 3 times that of steel under the same weight. So steel is superior to aluminium alloy profile in strong wind area, large span and cost.
3. Material strength: Q235B steel and aluminium alloy extrusion profile 6063 T6 are commonly used in support. In strength, 6063 T6 aluminium alloy is about 68% to 69% of Q235B steel, so steel is better than aluminium alloy profile in strong wind area and large span.
4. At present, hot-dip galvanizing of 55-80 micron steel and anodizing of 5-10 micron aluminium alloy are the main anti-corrosion methods of the scaffolds. Aluminum alloy is in the passivation zone under atmospheric environment, and a dense oxide film is formed on its surface, which prevents the surface of active aluminium matrix from contacting with the surrounding atmosphere. Therefore, it has very good corrosion resistance, and the corrosion rate decreases with the extension of time. Under normal conditions (C1-C4 environment), the thickness of 80 um galvanized steel can be guaranteed to be used for more than 20 years, but in high humidity industrial zones or high salinity seashore or even temperate seawater, the corrosion rate is accelerated. The amount of galvanized steel needs to be 100 um, which requires regular maintenance every year. Aluminum alloy is far superior to steel in anti-corrosion.
5. Cross-section diversity: Aluminum alloy profiles are generally processed by extrusion, casting, bending and stamping. Extrusion production is the mainstream production mode at present. By opening the extrusion die, arbitrary cross-section profiles can be produced, and the production speed is relatively fast. Steel is generally rolled, cast, bending, stamping and other ways. At present, roll pressing is the main production mode of cold-formed section steel. The cross-section needs to be adjusted by rollers, but the general machine can only produce the same kind of products, size adjustment, but the cross-section shape can not be changed, such as C-section steel, Z-section steel and other cross-sections. The rolling production mode is relatively fixed and the production speed is relatively fast.
